Tribal Immunity Challenge 2

Even though most players won't be here until right around 9, I'm going to post the challenge instructions early to give everyone a chance to read them and ask any questions to avoid confusion once the challenge begins.

Come on in tribes. Cohen Tribe getting your first look at the new Brady Tribe, R123k voted out of the game at the last Tribal Council. Before we get to the next challenge, I’ll take the idol back from Cohen. Tribal Immunity is once again at stake.

We’ll be playing a variant of a Survivor classic challenge: Basket Brawl. Here’s how the challenge will work:

The challenge will be played in rounds. One tribe will be on offense. One tribe will be on defense.

Each round the tribe on offense will select 3 players who will “pass”, 3 who will “advance” and 1 who will “shoot”. The tribe on defense will select 3 players who will “intercept”, 3 who will “tackle” and 1 who will “block”. The defensive tribe will also pick 1 member of the opposing tribe to match up against.

Scoring will work as follows:
If a defensive player who selects intercept matches up against an offensive player who selected pass, the defense will score 1 point.
If a defensive player who selects tackle matches up against an offensive player who selected advance, the defense will score 1 point.
If the defensive player who selects block matches up against the offensive player who selected shoot, the defense will score 2 points.
Any other matchup will score 1 point for the offensive team (ie tackle vs shoot or block vs pass).

Whichever team has the highest score in the round will win the round. The first tribe to win 3 rounds will win immunity and safety from Tribal Council. Losers will join me at Tribal and vote the second player out of the game.

Each tribe will post their selections on their tribe thread for this challenge. Example post for offensive tribe would be "I'm advancing". For defensive tribe, example post "I'm tackling R123k". If you have players absent from your tribe, another member will need to post for that player however they will automatically lose their matchup and give a point to the other tribe. If 2 absent players are matched up, neither team will score a point.

This might seem like a luck-based challenge, but keep track of patterns from the opposing tribe. There is a lot of strategy to be had here.

The rules might be a little confusing so I’ll give you until 9PM to strategize amongst your tribe and ask questions.

Do both teams get a chance on offense and defense each round? Or is it one team gets to be offense and one defense and that's it for the round?

What is the point of filling in for an absent player if they already automatically lose?

Correct. You'll be defense one round then offense the next.

If absent players match up against each other, they don't score a point. So there is strategy to utilizing them.

To determine choice of offense or defense first, I need each tribe to post a number 1-100 in their challenge section. Closest to my chosen number will get to choose in round 1.

Also there is no set time limit for each round, but hopefully everyone can post reasonably fast and this should not drag out too long.
