Challenge #1

Come on in guys. Welcome players to the first challenge of Lsquared: Macquarie Harbour. Even though you are already divided into tribes, this challenge will be competed individually. In this challenge, you are not competing for immunity. Instead, you are competing for clues to the Hidden Immunity Idol. Without a clue, you will not be able to locate this potentially game-changing item.

Worth playing for? Here’s how the challenge will work:

In five minutes, I will list 20 different moments from Survivor (US) history that involved Hidden Immunity Idols. Your job is to place them in the correct order chronologically as they occurred throughout the series. I’ll need you to create an answer sheet with the 20 items in the correct order. The first 6 players to send me a PM with the correct answer sheet will win a clue to the hidden immunity idol. You must send via PM for your answer to count. I will not publicly post which players have won the clue. I will only post when the challenge ends, and privately inform the winners individually. There is a 20-minute time limit to complete; so if I have not received 6 correct answer sheets within 20 minutes, only the players who have the correct order will win a clue. You can only send in answers once, so make sure you have the correct answers before you send.

But, stick around. Once the individual challenge concludes, we will also have our first tribal immunity challenge of the season.

• James is voted out while in possession of 2 hidden immunity idols.
• Garrett, Morgan and Trish are given the option of an extra bag of rice for the tribe or a clue to the hidden immunity idol.
• Eliza tells Jason the idol he thinks he possesses is “a f***ing stick”.
• Kelley finds an idol in the middle of a tribal challenge.
• David plays an idol to save Jessica from being voted out of the game.
• Erik finds the idol and immediately hands it to Andrea.
• Russell H. finds his first of many hidden idols.
• JT hands an idol wrapped in a nicely-written note to Russell in the middle of a challenge.
• The remaining Gabon players unanimously decide to throw the clue to the hidden idol into the ocean.
• Jeremy plays an idol, nullifying all votes for Fishbach.
• Jason gives his idol to Tai, creating the “Super Idol”.
• Monica burns the first of many hidden idol clues to be burned at the Redemption Island Arena.
• Wearing immunity idols around their necks at Tribal Council, Eddie and Malcolm announce they’re voting for Phillip.
• A hidden idol is played successfully for the first time in the series, negating 4 votes.
• Gary finds a hidden idol that must be played before the votes are even cast, effectively making it a second immunity necklace.
• For the first time in the series, a player is evacuated from the game while possessing an idol.
• Tony plays an idol on LJ, prompting LJ to play his idol on Tony. Neither received a vote.
• Boston Rob finds the only idol of his Survivor career.
• After not playing his idol, Marty receives 3 votes at Tribal but survives the tiebreak vote.
• Kimmi is eliminated after Kelley and Jeremy play idols and negate all votes.

Time is up for this challenge. No more answers will be accepted. If you were one of the first 6, you will receive the clue after the tribal immunity challenge, which I'll post in a minute.

The individual challenge is over, now it is time for your first Tribal Immunity Challenge of the season. The winning tribe will return to camp with immunity and safety from Tribal Council. The losing tribe will join me at Tribal.

I hope you’ve taken the time to get to know everyone on your tribe and have made some good impressions. For this first challenge, each tribe is going to pick 1 person to represent the tribe. This is a true hero’s challenge as the weight of your tribe will be on your back as you fight 1 on 1 for tribal immunity. This could be an opportunity to cement yourself as a strong member of your tribe, or failure could deem you a weak link in your tribe.

Here’s how the challenge will work:
Each round I will post a card from a standard deck of 52 playing cards in each of your confessional area. When you receive your card, you will then have the choice of “play” or “fold” which you will post on this game thread.

If both players choose “play” – the player with the higher card wins 2 points
If both players choose “fold” – the player with the lower card wins 2 points
If 1 player chooses play and the other chooses fold - the player who chose “play” gets a point

We will alternate who must post first whether to play or fold each round. Once a card is used, it is eliminated from the deck and will not be repeated during the challenge.

Aces are always high. Suits count as tiebreakers in this order: spades, diamonds, clubs, hearts. So jack of diamonds would beat a jack of clubs or jack of hearts.

The first player to 10 points will win immunity for their tribe. Losers get a date with me at Tribal Council, where you’ll vote the first player out of the game.

I will give you 5 minutes to select a tribe representative for the challenge and post on this thread. Use your tribal area to discuss who you want to play for your tribe. The first post with a name on this thread will be your official selection for your tribe. First tribe to post their decision on this thread will choose whether to go first or second during the first round.
